Director James Cameron confirms Avatar 2 release date... but does it affect the release of Star Wars: Episode XIII?

The 61-year-old filmmaker confirmed Avatar 2 will be shooting in early 2016 with an expected release date of Christmas 2017. The Force Awakens had a $529 million worldwide opening weekend.
